Over the last two weeks I’ve shared with you my favorite WordPress plugins for basic site setup and must-have blogging tools. Today I’m going to share with you the plugins on my list of Must-Haves for Social Sharing!

If you’re not making it easy for your readers to share your content guess what? The chances are pretty darn high that they’re NOT going to do it! If you want your readers to share your content then by all means, make it S-I-M-P-L-E and idiot proof.
Here are the plugins that I use and recommend that allow your readers to easily share your content:
- Really simple Facebook Twitter and share buttons – I’ve gone through several sharing plugins between my site and my clients. I
may have done adid a little happy dance the day I found this one! It seems that everyone has their own preferece for which buttons show up and finally, FINALLY I found one that included all the major networks as well as Pinterest & Buffer. - Shareaholic | email, bookmark share buttons – This bundles SexyBookmarks, Topbar and ClassicBookmarks. I use this for SexyBookmarks, the animated sharing tabs at the bottom of my posts. You may possibly be able to get away with using JUST this plugin for social sharing if you’re happy with Topbar and Classicbookmarks.
- Pin Button Attraction for WordPress – This is a great plugin that allows for easy pinning of images on your blog/website. It’s the one that I have installed here that adds the “Pin It” button on your images. This plugin isn’t free but if you’re already adding graphics to your posts and you’re active on Pinterest it’s something to think about.
There are many, many other plugins for social sharing and bookmarking. I’ve installed and tested out several across several sites but these are my go-to plugins. What are your favorite plugins for social sharing and bookmarking?

Hi,
Loved the Pin button attraction, Thanks for sharing!

Melissa, there are great plugins! I have been using SexyBookmarks since 2010 and it’s by far my very favorite social sharing plugin. I also use Digg Digg, too, but I only have tweetMeme, FB share and G+ in it. I LOVE the Pin Button Attraction plugin as well! I was lucky enough to stumble upon it in the beta stage when http://www.wpkube.com was reviewing it! I call that one a score!
Now I need to find a plugin that adds social sharing buttons to my rss feed. I use Feedburner but they don’t have the cool icons. FeedBlitz does, but I don’t like them o.O I’m such a snob! LOL
Thanks for sharing! And I think you are doing a great job keeping up with this month’s UBC! Hugs!
