Payment Policy
Packages: Payment must be received in full prior to the start of any task or project, no exceptions.
All invoice are due immediately. Any invoices for services left unpaid after 10 days will be subject to late fees.
Design Rights
I retain the right to use any design work (eCovers, eProducts, Newsletter Templates, Website Design/Customizations) in my portfolio and for promotional purposes. I will not publish your graphics in my portfolio prior to your use or launch of product.
Turnaround Time
The amount of time required to complete a task will depend on the task and current workload. Most small tasks such was blog updates, adding products to a shopping cart, and tweet scheduling are completed within 36-48 hours of receiving all required information. Larger tasks such as newsletter formatting, ezine templates, and graphics work will most likely require more time. I’ll send an estimated completion time upon receiving all the details for bigger projects.
Please note that if you send changes to the original task it may also change the amount of time required. For example, if you ask me to schedule an issue of your ezine and I let you know it’ll be done the next day, then decide you want to change the ezine template as well, that will add some time to the task and it may be an additional day or two for completion.
I also limit my availability on weekends so that I can spend time with my family. I am careful to monitor my client lists and workload so that I’m able to keep project turn around times fairly quick.
Urgent Projects
Any time you request a project be completed in less than 24 hours it will be considered ‘Urgent.’ I will do my best to complete these tasks but there will be an additional fee for rushed/urgent projects. I am not a ‘on-call’ assistant, as such there are times that I may not be ‘plugged in’ or checking my messages. If you request a project be done in less than 24 hours I will respond to your message as soon as I am able to do so and confirm whether or not complete the requested item in the requested time frame.
I can not guarantee that I’ll be able accommodate a request for an urgent tasks. However, in the event that I can accommodate your request you will be billed a rush fee of $35 per ‘Urgent’ project as well as an additional 25% of the total fees/time spent on said project.
For example if you request a project be completed within 24 hours or less and it takes me 2 hours and your normal rate is $45 an hour your fees would look like this:

Upon completion you will be billed the Project Fee & Surcharge which will be due immediately.
Please do not send me something and ask for it to be done within an hour or by 5pm the same day — This is to be fair to all of my clients. If I allowed “emergency” projects to push everything else back, next time it could be your projects that could be pushed back. Exceptions will NOT be made to this policy. If you routinely need projects completed within hours of your request, I am not the right virtual assistant for you.
Refunds & Expired Hours
Refunds will not be issued for unused hours that have expired. Nor will the expiration date be pushed back if you wait till the last minute to use your time. I am not responsible for reminding you that you have unused hours. You may check your unused time credit by logging into the client project management area at anytime.
Transfer of Unused Hours
Unused hours may not be transferred from one client to another.
Subcontracting
I do no work with my clients in subcontracting situations. There is too much room for error and miscommunication. If you have a client that needs assistance you may refer them to me directly. I am not an employee and I will not complete miscellaneous tasks for your business’ clients so please do not ask.
